Project context
Healthcare uses illustrated characters to follow a health-check journey, from a questionnaire through testing to a conversation about the results. The film’s subject called for a clear sequence of ideas, with each stage giving the viewer enough context to understand what follows.

This project began with an original idea. There were no supplied source images, footage or script. Buba developed the concept and narrative structure, establishing what the film would communicate before developing the visual sequences.

Creative challenge
The task was to turn an abstract journey into a story that could be followed on screen. Characters, settings and individual actions needed a consistent visual language, while the order of the scenes had to keep the explanation clear.
Our approach
We planned the narrative and sequence, then developed the visual direction. Still images were created to explore and organise the story before animation. These storyboard and key-image stages let us select the visual ideas to carry forward. Those creative selections were made within the studio. We then developed them into animated sequences and brought the scenes together through editing and finishing.

Final piece
The result is a character-led animated explanation built from the initial idea through to the final edit. It illustrates a journey rather than documenting a real patient experience, and does not present the animation as clinical evidence or a promise of a health outcome.
